Each week our parish members gather to nurture faith in a style of worship rooted in the Anglican tradition. This is a time for rest, praise, prayer and to cultivate friendships and community. The celebration of the Eucharist, comprising both the Word (scripture and a sermon) and sacrament, is central to our spirituality at Trinity.

Newcomers and long-time members alike are welcome and encouraged to participate in our worship services, sharing those gifts they have to offer before God and His people.

We value children and youth as equal participants in our Christian community. All are welcome at any service. A comfortable child-friendly space has been made available within the Nave for younger children to worship, read, learn, play or snack during the service.

Special Services

Baptisms (both infant and adult) are celebrated at various times throughout the year, always following consultation and preparation with one of the clergy. Baptisms at Trinity are celebrated in the presence of the full congregation, usually on Sundays at 10 am.

In the Anglican tradition, Confirmations are celebrated either when the Bishop presides at the Sunday Eucharist at Trinity or at Christ Church Cathedral in Ottawa on Pentecost. Candidates for Confirmation are usually at least 11 years old and must participate in a Confirmation class (usually taking place over a period of a couple of weeks prior to the sacrament). Bishop John Chapman is expected to return to Trinity in 2014.

Those couples wishing to celebrate their Marriage at Trinity must contact one of the clergy with as much notice as possible (preferably 3 months or more in advance). In conversation with the clergy, the couple will discuss their relationship, their family and their hopes for the wedding day. All couples married within the Anglican Church must participate in the Diocesan Marriage Preparation Course. The course allows couples an opportunity to learn and to grow, both individually and as a couple. It is offered at various locations across the Diocese, including at Trinity, Cornwall.

Funerals are scheduled as needed and the clergy are available on short notice. The clergy will be happy to negotiate the details of the funeral with your family and the funeral home.

At least once a year we hold a Sunday 10 o'clock Outdoor Service. We gather to celebrate communion amidst God's creation. This service normally takes place in early September while the mornings are still warm!

A Blessing of the Animals Service is held annually to align with the commemoration of St Francis of Assisi in late September.
